Donald L. Williams, 66, of East Jordan, died Sunday, March 19, 2017, at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

  He was born on November 8, 1950, in Watertown, New York, the son of Donald L., Sr. and Greta J. (LaRose) Williams.

  He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict.

  Don had worked twenty-eight years for Dura in East Jordan and ten years in security at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey until his recent retirement.

  Don served as a Lieutenant for the Reserve Special Deputy Division of the Charlevoix County Sherriff Department.  He served as a reserve officer for thirty years.

  He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Williams of East Jordan; son, Derek (Laura) Williams of East Jordan; daughter, Becky Williams of New York; two granddaughters, Autumn and Lydia; two sisters, Cindy Williams of East Jordan and Jackie (Steve) Jenkins of Boyne Falls;  two brothers, Guy (Sue) Williams of Boyne Falls and Stanley Antoine.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Virginia Williams; and two sisters, Tina Williams and Sherry Booth.

  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan.   Rev. James L. Jordan will officiate with interment following at Sunset Hill Cemetery in East Jordan.

  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan.  Memorials may be directed to the Williams Family, 4445 Miles Road, East Jordan, MI 49727.
