Gene A. Seeley

  Gene Aden Seeley, 79, died peacefully in his sleep, at his home, in East Jordan on Monday, April 16th, following a short illness.
  Gene was born on April 30,1938 in Harbor Springs, Michigan to Carleton Seeley and Mary Seeley Savage. They preceded him in death as well as his sister, Donna (Drake) and brother, Carleton. He grew up and graduated in Harbor Springs. Gene married Gloria Terpening on March 16, 1957. They resided in East Jordan most of their life. He owned Seeley's Printing Service in East Jordan from 1963 to 1968. He then moved the business to Charlevoix from 1968 to 1994. He enjoyed bowling, dog sitting his grand dogs, doing Sudoku puzzles, and going to the Casino. He was a member of a Barbershop Quartet in Boyne City. He was an avid fan of the Spartans, Tigers, Red Wings, Lions, and Tiger Woods.
  He is survived by his wife, of 61 years, Gloria; three children, Debbie (Clair) Waterson, Dale (Marie) Seeley, and Karen (Brian) Stanek; 7 grandchildren, Robert Waterson, Amber Seeley, Stephanie Seeley, Bridget (Steve) Daniels, Rochelle Seeley, Brian Stanek Jr., Samantha (John) Jerred; 5 great-grandchildren, Jaxson Daniels, Jesse & Joey Jerred, and Kira & Delaney Glasscock.
  Gene's visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the Harvest Barn Church in East Jordan from 10 am to 12 noon. The funeral will be at 12 noon.
  Arrangements are being handled by Penzien Funeral Home in East Jordan.
   A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Lakeview Cemetery, West Traverse Township, Emmet County, MI.
