Kenneth Conrad Isaman, Jr., 94, of Gaylord and formerly of East Jordan, died Monday, April 4, 2016, at Tendercare of Gaylord.

  He was born on July 13, 1921, in New York, the son of Kenneth Conrad, Sr. and Teresa (Burbank) Isaman.  He grew up in East Jordan and graduated from East Jordan High School in 1939.

  On April 2, 1944 in East Jordan, he married Helen E. Whiteford.  She preceded him in death on March 18, 2008.

  He enjoyed trout fishing, hunting, mushrooming and yard work.

  Kennth is survived by three children, Darcy (Sandra) Isaman of Clawson, Gary Isaman of Gaylord and Vicki (Dan) Caldwell of Richmond; five grandchildren, Angela (Danny) Tomaszewski of  Clinton Township, Jamie (Eric) Pyke of Shelby Township, Megan (Norman) McGarry of Milford, Justin Caldwell of Sault St. Marie and Jenna Wolf of Richmond; six great grandchildren, Brianna Tomaszewski, Evan Pyke, Claire Pyke, Cora McGarry, Evalyn McGarry, and Rowan Wolf; and one sister-in-law, Ann Doty of Grayling.  Kenneth was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Frona Bowman and Dolores Hanson.

  Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016, at 7:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan.  Elder Ann Doty of the Community of Christ Church will officiate.  Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.

  The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 P.M. until service time at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan.  Memorials may be given to the save the strays program called “Friends For Life”, c/o The Otsego Animal Shelter, PO Box 1596 Gaylord, MI 49734.
