Russell A. Bolser Jr., 61 of East Jordan, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 24th, 2017.

Rusty was born October 25th, 1955, to Russell Sr. and Wanda (Kopkau) Bolser and was the eldest of 3 children.  He married Darlene (Groesser) October 22, 1977, in Ellsworth Michigan.  They raised two children together, Melanie (Brent) Jones and Nick (Heather) Bolser of East Jordan.

Rusty is survived by his wife Darlene; children, Melanie and Nick; and grandchildren, Tori, Zach, Nicole, Shanna, and Cory Bolser, all of East Jordan; his sister, Tina (Jim) Zeitler of Charlevoix; and brother, Roger Bolser of East Jordan.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda in 1999 and father, Russell Sr. in 2003.

In 1991, Rusty and Darlene bought the Corner Restaurant in East Jordan, renamed it “Darlenes” and have been in business for 26 years. Prior to owning and operating the restaurant, Rusty worked at Dura Automotive for 18 years.

Rusty loved the outdoors and spent many happy times hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and farming but most of all, he loved his family.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 26th 2017, from 3-5 p.m. at Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan.
