Eunice Evelyn (Sutton) Kenney

  Eunice Evelyn Kenney, 97, of East Jordan, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Boulder Park Terrace in Charlevoix.

  She was born on April 19, 1921, in Jordan Township, Antrim County, Michigan, the daughter of Eugene and Sylvia (LaVanway) Sutton.

  On September 18, 1940, in Bellaire, she married Cash H. Kenney. 

  Eunice enjoyed loving on her grandchildren, housekeeping, vacationing, camping and her cats.

  She is survived by three children, one son, Robert (Fran) Kenney, Sr. of Ellsworth; and two daughters, Eleanor King and Arlene St. John, both of Mancelona; one daughter-in-law, Carol L. Kenney of East Jordan; twenty grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; two sisters, Janet and Frances; as well as several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Cash H. Kenney; one son, Clifford “Dave” Kenney; one daughter, Louise Ollila; three sons-in-law, Floyd Ollila, Mike St. John and Robert King; three brothers, Carl, Steve and Georgie; and two sisters, Roberta and Chloe.

  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan.  Eunice’s grandson, Rev. Aart DeHeer of Bellaire will officiate.  Interment will follow at Mt. Bliss Cemetery, Jordan Township, Antrim County, Michigan.

  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at church.
