Gaery Lee Warner, 66, of East Jordan, died Saturday, August 26, 2017, in Hudson Township, Charlevoix County, MI.

  He was born on February 19, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Doyle and Bernice (Stone) Warner.

  Gaery was the owner and operator of Warner Landscaping and Excavating, where he truly loved his work.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing and, most of all, his family and friends.

  He is survived by his three children, Rachelle (Andrew) Stefanic of Ellsworth, Aimi (Josh) O’Neal of Germany and Jerry (Elena) Warner of Ellsworth; eleven grandchildren, Matt (Kaila) Thomas of Mancelona, Nicholas Thomas of Boyne City, Caleb Roberts of Charlevoix, Kendra Warner of Ellsworth, Lexie Warner of Ellsworth, Kyle Stefanic of Ellsworth, Darren Warner of Ellsworth, Wrigley O’Neal of Germany, Gunner O’Neal of Germany, Thatcher O’Neal of Germany and Teagan O’Neal of Germany; three great grandchildren, Cameron Thomas, Connor Thomas and Braxton Weber; his mother, Bernice Warner of  Charlevoix; eight siblings, Doyle (Kitty) Warner of Boyne City, Brian Warner of Charlevoix, Kelly Warner of Charlevoix, Bradley Warner of East Jordan, Mellissa Shay of Florida, Patti (Terry) Left of Charlevoix, Donna (Marc) Cross of Bellaire and Kenny Warner of Charlevoix; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Doyle Warner in 1995, and a grandson, Fenway O’Neal in 2008.

  Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan.  Rev. Jimmie McWatters will officiate with interment following at Barnard Cemetery in Marion Township, Charlevoix County, MI.

  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan.
