Kris Testa Weisler, 74, of East Jordan, died Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Grandvue Medical Care Facility in East Jordan.
She was born on March 24, 1945, in Ann Arbor, the daughter of George and Ola (Pratt) Chandler. She graduated from East Jordan High School.
Kris has worked as a cake decorator, in home health care giver, Avon Representative and the local bingo hall. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Rebec-Hosler Sweet Post #227 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7580 Auxiliary both in East Jordan. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts, geneology and canning.
She is survived by ten children, Julie (Bill) Zimdar of Muskegon, Janet (Don) Dawson of East Jordan, Bonnie (Chaz Briethaupt) Testa of Boyne City, James Testa of East Jordan and Jo Anne Testa of East Jordan; Matthew (Billie) Weisler of East Jordan, Jerome (Pam) Weisler of Rapid City, Martha (Steve Hall) Weisler of East Jordan, Theresa (Lanny) Gillespie of Cordova, Alaska, Daniel (Kellie) Weisler of East Jordan; one sister, Linda (Wayne) Kreger of Oneonta, New York; a sister in law, Anita (John) Wisniewski of New Hampshire; a brother-in-law, Jim Weisler of East Jordan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Matthew Testa; second husband, David Weisler; sons, John Testa, Mark Weisler and Patrick Weisler; grandson, Matthew John Hartwell; mother-in-law, Dorothy May Cook; brother, Dennis Chandler; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Neva Weisler; sisters-in-law, Iva Weisler and Elenor Person; brother-in-law, Skip Lints; and niece, Michell Rodriguez.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan. Rev. Bart Adams will officiate. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 4:00 P.M. at Avery Cemetery, Atlanta, Michigan.
The family will receive friends on Sunday 3:00 PM to 7:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan. Memorials may be directed to Grandvue Medical Care Facility or the East Jordan Ambulance Association.
