Patrick M. Piechocki, 61, of Oden and formerly of East Jordan, died Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.
He was born on January 29, 1958, in Key West, Florida, the son of Richard and Elizabeth (Antoine) Piechocki. He graduated from East Jordan High School in 1976.
Pat worked for Manthei Veneer over 25 years before his retirement.
He was also an avid fan of Michigan State University who enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, football, baseball, target shooting and all of his dogs he had throughout the years. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandson, Grant.
He was a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, Men’s Softball League in East Jordan and “Friends of Bill W.”
Pat is survived by a daughter, Sarah (Dan) Wilkinson of Oden; one grandson, Grant Wilkinson of Oden; one sister, Gale (Mike) Walker of Alanson; two brothers, David Piechocki of Rapid City and Jeff (Dorinda) Piechocki of East Jordan; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard “Skip” Piechocki.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan with interment following at St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery in East Jordan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan with a Rosary service to be held at 7:00 P.M.
The family recommends memorial contributions be directed to any organization devoted to the eradication of acute myeloid lymphoma.
