Anna Louise Buc, 95, of Traverse City and formerly of Bellaire, died on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Traverse City. In her passing leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable meals.
She was born on January 1, 1931, in Johannesburg, the daughter of James and Katherine (Creters) Campbell.
She married William Joseph Buc on May 4, 1985, in Bay City.
She was the mother of David Lavra, Janus Lee, Cynthia Lee (Pat Mattos), Nancy Lee (Jack Ahler) and Steven Lee (Ginette); grandmother of Seraphina Vajda (Neil), Leah Mulaly (JD Salazar) and Conner Ahler; and great grandmother of Evelyn and Jude Vajda.
A travel agent and lifelong adventurer, Anne lived from Michigan to Key West to Alaska, embracing each place as home. A feisty spitfire, she was known for hosting over-the-top celebrations for every occasion.
An exceptional cook and baker, she expressed her love through food. She was also an avid reader who loved completing puzzles.
She will be deeply missed and remembered in every shared meal and joyful gathering. A private celebration of life service will be held in Traverse City.
