Beverly L. (Hill) Stanek

  Beverly L. Stanek, 86, of East Jordan, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in Charlevoix.

  She was born on December 15, 1934, in Manset, Maine, the daughter of Carleton and Mildred (Dolliver) Hill.
  On January 3, 1956, in Maine, she married Howard G. Stanek.
  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan.
  Beverly enjoyed knitting, flowers, reading, jigsaw puzzles, scrabble, Chinese checkers and cribbage.
  She is survived by five children, Sherry (David) Crane of East Jordan, Jeffrey (Carol) Stanek of Portsmouth, Virginia, Brian (Karen) Stanek of Vanderbilt, Lisa (Marty) Ernst of East Jordan and Teresa (Doug) Stark of East Jordan; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; brother, Gerald (Margaret) Hill of Hancock, Maine; one sister, Irene (Linwood “Woody”) Leighton of Southwest Harbor, Maine; as well as several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard G. Stanek on September 21, 2019 as well as her parents   and one brother.

  A private funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan.  Interment will be in St. John Nepomucene Pesek Pioneer Cemetery in Praga, Jordan Township, Antrim County, Michigan.
