Billie Sue Drenth, 68, of East Jordan, died Thursday, August 22, 2024, in Detroit.
She was born on March 2, 1956, in Charlevoix, the daughter of William H. and Reva (Wilson) Drenth.
Billie was a very active and very particular person. She enjoyed bowling, playing guitar, singing with her sisters, playing horseshoes and cornholing. She loved cooking, sewing, shooting pool, bonfires and singing karaoke. She loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Catrina (Shawn) Norton of East Jordan, Claudette (Andrew) Brooks of East Jordan and Cortni (Vincent) Cerda of Gaylord; five stepchildren, Bud Grody of Mancelona, Rich (Garnet) Grody of Mancelona, Gordie Grody of Mancelona, Jakie (Nancy) Grody of Kalkaska and Angela (Dave) Barnes of Rockford; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her special boyfriend, William Cheek of East Jordan; one brother, Larry (Dorothy) Drenth of East Jordan; three sisters, Lynda (Neil) Olstrom of East Jordan, Jackie (Milt) Russell of Ellsworth and Vicki Lanning of Mancelona; one brother-in-law, Ken Batterbee of Grand Blanc; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Gail Batterbee and one step child, Jeff Grody.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church. East Jordan.
Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
