Bradley “Brad” Mayhew, 58, of Lafayette passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 at his home. Brad was born October 2, 1965 in Charlevoix, MI, to the late Glenn Mayhew and Jane (Graham) Meade.
Brad was a charismatic, fun-loving guy that would always tell a joke to put a smile on your face. He proudly served in the United States Navy and worked for Maddox Industrial Group as a Forman, mentoring many. Cheering on Michigan football was his passion and he loved hunting, fishing, golfing, and country music. Most of all, he loved spending time with his daughters, grandchildren and family.
Surviving are his daughters: Sam (Jacob) Fleckenstein of Columbus, IN, and Stefany (Ethan) Ross of Franklin, IN; siblings: Kevin (Pam) Mayhew of Fayetteville, PA, Kelli (Tim) Streufert of East Jordan, MI and step-siblings: Scott (Cindy) Meade of East Jordan, MI and Pat (Brad) Bloomquist of Grand Rapids, MI; and his six beloved grandchildren: Evelyn, Haley, Peyton, Garrett, Austen and Jeneelynn; along with multiple nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, step-father, Clayton Meade, and wife, Kathy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21st from 1:00-4:00 pm at the American Legion Hall, 305 Main St. East Jordan, Michigan 49727. will Military Honors at 4:OO P.M. at the Hall.
In lieu of usual remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed to American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.
