On Wednesday, June 25, 2020, Carol Joan Clark, loving mother of 7 children passed away at age 82. Carol was born November 9, 1937, at home in Boyne City, Michigan, to Joy and Burton Brooks. She was passionate about her family and animals, especially horses. She was known by many to be an excellent horsewoman who could ride any horse she was given. She also was always willing to take in stray animals and give them a home and love. She had a caring touch and would tend to the injured animals and nurse them back to health and give them a second chance at life. She loved spending time with her family and was never one to pass up a good garage sale. She was always willing to talk about her children and was proud of them all. She taught her children to be strong, independent individuals and to work hard and live life fully and always lend a hand when you can to others. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile and her kind and compassionate spirit.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Burton; mother, Joy; sister, Lillian;, and her brother, Richard. She is survived by her 7 children, Joy, Marie, Mellody, Robin, Raynee, Alice and Tom; her sisters, Rosemarie, Paygi and Sonja; her brother, Leonard; several cousins, nieces and nephews; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Private services have been arranged. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you make a donation in her name to Charlevoix Area Human Society.
