Codey Allan Sisson

 Codey Allan Sisson, 30, of Boyne Falls, Michigan died suddenly on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, in Mesa, Arizona.

  He was born on September 12, 1990, in Petoskey and graduated from Boyne Falls High School.

  Codey had worked as an oil rig derrick hand.

  Codey was very proud of his two children!  He had a deep passion for music and enjoyed writing songs and playing his guitar.  He liked the arts and playing basketball as well.  Codey would do just about anything to “entertain “ people and make them laugh.  He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

  He is survived by two children, Frank Pirtle of Pickerington, Ohio and Natalie Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia; his mother, Randy (Henry) Baumgartner of Boyne Falls; his father, James Sisson of Elmira; brother, Lance Baumgartner of Boyne Falls; grandmothers, Lois Dell of Petoskey and Barbara Kaiser of Boyne City; grandfather, James Sisson, Sr. of Crystal Lake; aunt, Tammy (Lauren) Hofbauer of Petoskey; two uncles, Joe Lindquist of Munising and Derek Sisson of Middleville.  Codey was preceded in death by a sister, Ashley Wise; grandfather, Roger Thornton; and an aunt, Amy Lindquist.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Melrose Township, Charlevoix County, MI.

  The family was serviced by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.
