Daniel Timothy Weisler

Daniel Timothy Weisler, 59, of East Jordan, died on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in Petoskey.

  He was born on September 1, 1965, in Charlevoix, Michigan, the son of David W. and Helen (Dubas) Weisler. He grew up in East Jordan and graduated from East Jordan High School in 1983.

  On May 23, 1987, he married Kellie Bush at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan.

  Daniel had worked 30 years for Petrie Construction Company and later for Louis Drapeau Concrete Design for 8 years.  He currently was working at Anchor Lamina America, Inc. in Bellaire.

  Daniel was a great outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He had the best sense of humor and could tell you a story about every deer he harvested or fishing trip he took, whether they were exaggerated or not, that's still to be determined. Daniel  also loved football and baseball. His genuine laughter and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone will be missed by everyone that knew him.

  He is survived by his wife, Kellie Weisler of East Jordan; one son, Timothy (Catherine) Weisler of Petoskey; one daughter, Hannah (Dylan Outman) Weisler of Alden; one grandson and one grandson on the way; nine siblings, Matthew (Billie) Weisler of East Jordan, Jerome (Pam) Weisler of Rapid City, Martha (Steve Hall) Weisler of East Jordan, Theresa (Lanny) Gillespie of Cordova, Alaska; Julie (Bill) Zimdars of  Muskegon, Janet (Don) Dawson of East Jordan, Bonnie (Chaz Briethaupt) Testa of Boyne City, James Testa of East Jordan and Jo Anne Testa of East Jordan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Daniel was preceded in death by his mother in 1968; father in 1998; three brothers, John Testa in 1981, Mark Weisler in 2010 and Patrick Weisler in 2016; and step-mother, Kris Testa Weisler in 2019.

   The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan, with a rosary service to be held Sunday evening at 7:30 P.M.

  Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, East Jordan with interment following in St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery, East Jordan.
