  David Eugene Larsen, 81, died on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at his home in Boyne City.

  He was born on July 20, 1939, in Auburn Heights, Michigan.

  He married Dorine Russell in December of 1982.  She preceded him in death on September 27, 2013.

  David served in the United States Army and was a member of the V. F. W. Post 3675 in Boyne City.

  He worked as a meat cutter for several grocery stores in the area.  Most recently, he worked at Family Fare Supermarket in Boyne City.

  David enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.

  He is survived by five children, Ellen Hosking of Cheboygan, Sherry (Rocky) Clark of Alanson, David Eugene Larsen, Jr. of East Jordan, Tina Larsen of Traverse       City and Donna (Scott) Miller of East Jordan;   fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and one brother, Gerald “Jerry” (Louise) Larsen of Au Gres.
 He and his wife Dorine helped raise three grandchildren Hope Valentine, Hillary and Levi Hawver with his stepson, Kim Hawver;

  He was also preceded in death by his parents, Winston and Cereda Foss, and one sister, Myrna Cummings.

  No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements were handled by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.
