David J. Beauvais, lovingly known as “Poppa,” passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by those he loved most. His life was a beautiful reflection of service, devotion, and generosity—a man who gave without hesitation, loved without limits, and lived with quiet strength.
Dave proudly served in the United States Navy, carrying forward a lifelong commitment to helping others. He dedicated 35 years of service to EJ (East Jordan Iron Works), where his reliability and care touched countless lives. Among his many passions, Dave especially cherished his rendezvous adventures—immersing himself in history, camaraderie, and the great outdoors. This past summer, he found immense joy tinkering in his shop with his prized possession, his MG B, a labor of love that brought him peace and pride with his trusty sidekick Bitty.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul W Beauvais, and his brother-in-law, John Massey. He is survived by his loving wife, Colleen Beauvais; his mother, Patricia Beauvais of East Jordan; and his siblings: Michael (Anne) Beauvais of East Jordan, Laura Massey of East Jordan, and Michele (Ken) Paulson of Stanwood.
Dave’s legacy continues through his children: Joe Beauvais (Amanda), David Lewin, Rachael Daniels, and Megan (Frank) Webber—all of East Jordan. He was a proud and devoted Poppa to his grandchildren: Dylan, Adriahna, Autumn, Laurna, and Jensyn. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
Above all, Dave loved his family fiercely. His warmth, humor, and unwavering support made him an extraordinary Poppa, husband, son, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 12:00 Noon at the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan. Pastor Bart Adams will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at church.
