Dennis Anderson

  Dennis Joseph Anderson, 66, of East Jordan, died Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Grandvue Medical Care Facility, East Jordan.

  He was born on July 17, 1957, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Robert Eugene and Mary Katherine (Peterson) Anderson.

  He graduated in Shelby Township from Eisenhower High School in 1975.  Dennis received his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in 1980.

  Dennis married Barbara Lux on October 3, 1981, in Utica, Michigan.

  He worked as a retail manager for Kmart for many years until 2015.

  He is survived by his wife, Barbara Anderson of East Jordan; three children, Martha Anderson of East Jordan, Michael Anderson of Traverse City and Katherine Anderson of Traverse City; two brothers, Robert Ray “Bob” (Lorie) Anderson of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Thomas Lee (Tracey) Anderson of Onaway.

  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.

  Memorials may be directed to Grandvue Medical Care Facility, East Jordan.
