Donna Sue (Cutler) Vander Hyde

Donna Sue Vander Hyde, 68, of Petoskey and formerly of East Jordan, walked on February 26, 2026.

She was born on December 6, 1957, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Donald and Barbara (Boring) Cutler.

She graduated from East Jordan High School in 1976.

Donna was happily married to Steve Vander Hyde for 40 years.

She was a proud member of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians.

She enjoyed traveling, bingo, playing cards and making dream catchers and walking sticks.  She loved helping homeless people and mission trips to Zuni, New Mexico.

Donna is survived by her husband, Steve Vander Hyde of East Jordan; four children, Chris Vander Hyde of Saint Peter, Minnesota, Mike (Megan) Vander Hyde of Princeton, Minnesota, James (Bradie) Vander Hyde of Farmington Hills and Samantha Vander Hyde of Grand Rapids; eleven grandchildren, Madilynn, Emma, Elise, Bailee, Dillon, Derek, Bradley, Ben, Violet, Lila Jo and Vivian; seven siblings, Kaye (Clare) Zitka of East Jordan, Lori (Gerald) Gee of East Jordan, Dennis Cutler of Brighton, Duane (Jackie) Cutler of East Jordan, Don Cutler, II of East Jordan, Keith (Christina) Harchis of Antioch, California and Kelly (Cherity) Harchis of Las Vegas, Nevada; Holly Vander Hyde of North Oaks, Minnesota; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 12:00 Noon at the Ellsworth Christian Reformed Church, 9323 Main Street, Ellsworth, Michigan.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Zuni Christian Missions School, PO Box 445, 27 Pia Mesa Road, Zuni, NM 87327.
