Edward Allen Morris

Edward Allen Morris, 67, passed away on March 15, 2025, in East Jordan, Michigan.  

Born on February 26, 1958, in Charlevoix, Michigan, Ed grew up in the East Jordan area and graduated from East Jordan High School with the class of 1976. He later served his country with honor in the United States Army.  

Ed had a deep appreciation for nature and was happiest when exploring the outdoors. He had a remarkable talent for finding morel mushrooms and was known as a master of the craft. His artistic abilities also shone through in many aspects of his life, reflecting his creativity and keen eye for detail.  

He is survived by his children, Roxie (Ronnie) Swank, Cody (Dana) Morris, and Malissa Morris; stepchildren, Mike (Lanae) Bartz and Savanna (Jason) Murray; his siblings, Tim Morris, Jim (Clara) Morris, and Judy (Todd) Richards; as well as ten beloved grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darwin and Mary Lou Morris.  

A memorial service will be held later this spring, with details to be determined.  

Ed’s love for nature and artistry will be fondly remembered by those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
