Forest T. VanDeventer, 92, passed away peacefully Feb. 17, 2022, in Venice, Florida, where he resided during the winter months.
Forest was born in East Jordan, one of eight children born to Henry VanDeventer and Fannie (Vance) VanDeventer. Forest was a US Army veteran and proud to be an American.
Forest is survived by his loving wife, Nancy VanDeventer; son, Ted (Lynne) VanDeventer; daughter, Deborah (James) Roush; son, Mark (Julia) VanDeventer; stepson, Doug Gschwind; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by a nephew, Leon (Shirley) Beal, whom he loved and regarded as a brother and by his friend and brother-in-law, Roger Carter.
Forest was predeceased by his parents, his siblings and his daughter, Sandra (Paul) Tober.
Forest will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of his life and interment will take place in East Jordan, Michigan, Friday, July 15, 2022. Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 207 Nicholls St, East Jordan, MI at 11 a.m. followed by Interment in Morehouse Cemetery, 2012 Schroeder Rd, East Jordan followed by a luncheon in the Parish Hall.
