Franklin Jerome Campbell, 82, went to be with his Lord, Sunday, May 10, 2020, at home in East Jordan.
He was born on February 10, 1938, in Boyne City, the son of Jerome and Stella (Taylor) Campbell.
He grew up in Boyne City and graduated from Boyne City High School in 1956. Frank served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962.
In October of 1961, he married Shirley Peck. She preceded him in death on March 4, 1982. Frankl married Alice K. Sutton on October 29, 1983. She survives.
He worked as a production-scheduling clerk at East Jordan Iron Works, now known as EJ, USA, Inc. He retired in 1998 after 35 years.
He attended the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan..
Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time up North in Garnet. He loved getting together with his classmates for breakfast once a month, having a good time catching up. When he was younger, he and Alice enjoyed dancing they fool feet off. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his wife, Alice K. Campbell; son, David (Miki) Campbell; daughter, Lori (John) Smyth; stepsons, Herschell (Angie) Sutton, Clifford (Lisa) Sutton and John (Jennifer) Sutton; stepdaughters, Belinda (Mike) Sheridan and Mary (John Means) Sutton; twenty-three grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; niece, Teresa (Jim) Yell; and nephew, Ken (Cindy Skop) Warren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Jerome Campbell and Stella McPhee; aninfant son; sister, Nancy Warren; and stepfather, Patrick McPhee.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 11:00 am at the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan.
The family asks memorial contributions be directed to the Hospice of Michigan.
