Janett Edna Walden, 89, of Echo Township, Antrim County, died on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Meadow Brooke Medical Care Facility in Bellaire.
She was born on May 11, 1932 in Croswell, Michigan, the daughter of Alfred and Orpha (Locke) Dresser. Janett graduated from Croswell-Lexington High School in 1950.
On July 3, 1950, in Angola, Indiana, she married Ernest Walden. They made their home in the Flint area for 31 years and moved to East Jordan in 1982. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2009.
Janett has worked as a dietary aide at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. She had attended the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan.
She is survived by four children, Thomas (Kerrie) Walden of East Jordan, Paul Walden of East Jordan, Daryl (Dale) Walden of Mancelona, and Karen (Kevin) Thomas of East Jordan; one son-in-law, Thurlo (Lisa) Smith of Mt. Morris; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Patricia Smith; one sister, Alta Shockley; and one brother, Larry Dresser.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan. Rev. Bart Adams will officiate. Inurnment will be held in the spring of 2022 at Lakeside Cemetery, South Arm Township, Charlevoix County.
