Jeremy Allan Grutsch

  Jeremy Allan Grutsch, 48, passed away at his home near East Jordan, surrounded by his family.

  He was born on June 9, 1976, in Charlevoix, the son of James Duane and Nancy Louise (Olson) Grutsch. He grew up mostly up Boyne City.

  He was very interested in geology.  He loved his rocks.  He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and picking mushrooms.

  Jeremy is survived by five children, Jasmine Grutsch of Mancelona, Alison Grutsch of Gaylord, Matthew Grutsch of Mancelona, Alexander Grutsch of Marion and Jayden Grutsch of Gaylord; his father, James D. Grutsch of East Jordan; his mother, Nancy L. (Dennis) DeNise of East Jordan; one grandfather, Gerald (Carol) Olson of East Jordan; three sisters, Jennifer (Dean Burkett) DeNise if Frederick, Maryland, Kimberly (Adam) Handwerk of Traverse City and Donna (David) Dyer of East Jordan; one niece and three nephews.  He was preceded in death by grandparents, Doris and Carl Grutsch: and grandmother, Nancy Olson.

  A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at 9221 Graham Road, East Jordan, MI 49727.
