Jodi “Joy” (Kujawa) Saganek

Jodi “Joy” Saganek, 68, died Saturday, February 15, 2025, at her home in East Jordan.

  She was born on November 20, 1956, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of James and Rita (Benzevicz) Kujawa. 

  Jodi loved music, her dogs, being outside and writing cards.

  She is survived by her husband, Sid Saganek of East Jordan; one step daughter, Lynsey Saganek of Grand Rapids; one grandson, , Bailey Vand Berg of Grand Rapids; two granddaughters, Olivia Vand Berg and Autumn Neumann, both of Grand Rapids; one great granddaughter, Tatym Leigh Sheteron; two sisters, Pan Elwood Grand Rapids and Toni (Art) Barajas of Grand Rapids; five brothers-in-law, Steve Litzan, Don (Kris) Saganek of East Jordan, Rick Saganek of Alba, John Saganek of Grand Rapids and David Saganek of East Jordan.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kim Litzen; brother-in-law, Chuck EI-wood and Charlie Saganek.

  She loved her dogs, music, sending cards and drinking beer.

   There will be a Celebration of Life service announced in the Spring.  The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.
