Joyce Elaine Kelsey, 96, of Boyne City, Michigan, peacefully went to be with our Lord on February 23, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Joyce was born on November 11, 1928 (11-11-28) to David and Iva Boshart (Kreh) and had 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She graduated from Kearsley High School.
On August 2, 1947, she married Lloyd Kelsey, her loving husband of 77 1/2 yrs.
She worked as an executive secretary for 35 yrs at A.C. Spark Plug. Joyce “gave back” by being a Big Sister, Red Feather, United Way volunteer, president of the church youth group and president of the A.C. Choir group. She was also an avid water skier. Their wooden ski boat from 1957, is still in the garage.
Joyce was proceeded in death by her parents, David and Iva Boshart, brother Vernon, sisters Leona Miller and Doreen McIntyre, dauther-in-law Denise Kelsey (Otisville), grandson - Chad Kelsey (Otisville).
Joyce is survived by her husband, Lloyd Kelsey (Boyne City), children - Brian Kelsey (Otisville), Janell (Bob) Pawlus (Boyne City), grandchild - Daniel Mancuso and great grand children - Clayton Kelsey and Vann Kelsey, Mindy Lapeer (mother of Vann Kelsey).
The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of the loving caregivers with McLaren Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at Flint Memorial Cemetery at a later date. The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan, Michigan.
