Obituary

Junior Gordon Wright, 87, died Sunday, November 20, 2022, at his home in East Jordan.

  He was born on June 5, 1935, in Davison, Michigan, the son of Claude and Vera (Barnes) Wright.

He grew up in Davison.  He served in the United State Air Force from 1953 to 1956.   Junior worked for General Motors for 32 years and retired in 1998.

  Junior is survived by four children, Laura (Joe) Mangine of Youngstown, Ohio, Gordon (Nicola) Wright of Huntsville, Alabama, Kristina (Brad Rowe) Wright – Rowe of Youngstown, Ohio and Heather (Jay) Ciolek of Bridgeport; twelve grand children, Andrew Wright, Ashley Wright, Brad Rowe, Jr., Austin Rowe, Arleigha Bowser, Samele Moananu, Jr., Jeffrey Moananu, Austin Hall, Ann Morton, Dalton Ciolek, Colton Ciolek and Antonio Mangine; three great grandchildren, Brinkley Morton, Aizlyn Morton and Emelia Wright; one brother, Danial (Jean) Wright of East Jordan; two sisters, Yvonne (Daniel) Evans of Burton and Brenda (Doug) Derr of Lapeer.  He was preceded in death by daughter Sheila Wright; his parents; and one sister, Peggy Crain.

  A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Burton, Michigan.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
