Karen Wagar

On July 21, 1954 a very special and unique baby girl was born. Her name, Karen Lenore Hughey (Wagar).

On August 8, 2018 Karen closed her eyes and has gone to spend eternity alongside the love of her life, her husband, Gerald C. Wagar.

Karen was the first born child of Neil and Elaine Hughey, and one of six siblings.

Karen had a sense of humor that could catch you off guard. She filled our lives with amazing home cooking, and had a great passion for gardening and feeding the wild birds. She was an avid mushroom and berry picker. Spending time in the woods with her friends was one of her favorite past times. Often times, those outdoor experiences turned into beautiful creations.

Karen is survived by her three children Heather Johnston, Gerid Wagar, Shawna Herrick, her four grandsons, Gavin, Timothy, Verik, Logan and her granddaughter Lannah. Her three siblings Bryan (Darlene) Hughey, Tina (Stuart) Galgerud, and Craig Hughey.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband Gerry Wagar, her parents and her two brothers Dennis and Allen Hughey.

Karen leaves behind 64 years of wisdom, laughs and memories that will stay with us forever.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
