Lawrence J. Fay

  Lawrence J. “Larry” Fay, 80, died on Friday, August 14, 2020, at his home, with his family in East Jordan.

  He was born in Flushing, Michigan on June 20, 1940, the son of Junior Arthur and Dorothy (Smith) Fay.  He married Patricia L. Tryon on December 16, 1967, in Flint, Michigan.

  Larry served in the United States Marines Corps.   

  He worked as a supervisor for General Motors, Inc. for 13 years.  He retired in 1977 and moved to East Jordan.

  Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to Las Vegas.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

  He is survived by his wife, Patricia L. Fay of East Jordan; four daughters, Jan (Todd) Dean, Judy (Fred) Lang, Diane (Jeff) Dean and Cindy (Scott) Meade, all of East Jordan; seven grandchildren, Travis Nachazel, Trevor Meade, Ryan Petoskey, Derek Boyer, Sheena Boyer Saganek, Heather Farmer and Jodie Stace; numerous great grandchildren; and three sisters, Peggy Fay Harris, Kay Ann Fay and Terry Fay, all of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Boyer; and one sister, Diane Fay.
  No services will be held at this time.  Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.
