Lenore Evelyn Murphy

Lenore Evelyn Murphy, 62, of White Pines AIS Home, Gaylord and formerly of East Jordan, died on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord.

  She was born on August 10, 1960, in Bellaire, the daughter of Maurice R. and Margaret M. (Hebden) Murphy.

  She grew up in East Jordan and had worked at the Bergmann Center in Charlevoix.  Lenore really enjoyed polka music.  She loved her extended family at White Pines.  Lenore loved blowing bubbles and playing cards with her friends.

  Lenore is survived by her father, Maurice R. Murphy of East Jordan; five siblings, Dolores Murphy of East Jordan, Terry (Bette) Murphy of Georgia, Glendora (Wayne) Clary of East Jordan, Bonnie (Rod) Grover of East Jordan and Carmen (Alan) Harreld of East Jordan; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Marie Hebden Murphy on August 10, 2016.

  Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Penzien Funeral Homes in East Jordan.  Rev. Bart Adams of the Lighthouse Missionary Church, East Jordan will officiate.  Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.

  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to donor’s choice.
