Lillian Lorraine (Scott) Martinek

  Lillian Lorraine Martinek, 100, of East Jordan, died Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Meadowbrook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire.

  She was born on April 15, 1921, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Ralph E. and Edith (Medcraft) Scott. 

  Lillian married Joseph Martinek on October 29, 1939, in East Jordan.

  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in East Jordan where she volunteered.  For many years, Lillian prepared meals for the East Jordan Rotary Club who met in the basement of the church.  Lillian was a house wife and mother.

She is survived by a son, Tony (Velma) Martinek of Bellaire; daughter, Gertrude “Trudy” (Kenneth) Hilla of Alpena; son-in-law, Mike Brennan of East Jordan; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; three sisters, Loretta McNutt of Gaylord, Marion Roses of Saginaw and Marjorie Steinhoff of East Jordan; one brother, Stanley (Connie) Scott of East Jordan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

  Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Martinek in 1982; a daughter, Mary A. Brennan in 2017; her parents; one sister, Arloha J. Norton; and three brothers, Eugene Scott, John Scott and Francis Scott.

   No services are scheduled at this time.  A graveside memorial service will be announced in the spring of 2022.
