Loretta Ruth Gagnon, 87, of East Jordan died on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Petoskey.
She was born on August 14, 1934, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Leonard and Beth (Simpson) Cosier. She graduated from Boyne City High School. On September 10, 1955, in East Jordan, she married Gene O. Gagnon.
Loretta attended the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by three children, Gail (Mia) Gagnon of Boyne City, Irene (Marvin) Trowbridge of Bellaire and John (Mary) Gagnon of Harbor Springs; six grandchildren, Nathan Gagnon of Charlevoix, Brooke Gagnon of East Jordan, Renee Gagnon of Harbor Springs, Tasha Gagnon of Harbor Springs, Cheryl (Travis) Usrey of Grayling and Kevin (Alicia Kirts) Trowbridge of Bellaire; thirteen great grandchildren, Shyenne Gagnon, Devon Smith, Drake Smith, Mallory Smith, Bridget Usrey, Levi Usrey, Colt Usrey, Charlie Umlor, Kenzie Moore, Ellie Moore, Memphis Moore, Ella Trowbridge and Benjamin Trowbridge; one great great grandchild, Ellianna Stockford; Four brothers, Dale (Dixie) Cosier of Boyne City, Art (Linda) Cosier of Walloon Lake, Thomas (Lori) Cosier of East Jordan and Fred (Charlotte) Simpson of Boyne City; one sister, Nina Young of East Jordan; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene O. Gagnon of September 12, 2009, her parents and one brother.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan, MI.
