Marsha Ruth (Baker) Gee

  Marsha Ruth Gee, 72, of East Jordan, died on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, in Petoskey.

  She was born on September 29, 1951, in Cheboygan, Michigan, the daughter of Edward and Naomi (Vallad) Baker. She grew up in East Jordan and was Homecoming Queen in 1968. Marsha graduated from East Jordan High School in 1969.

  Marsha had worked as a bookkeeper for many years. This includes her time at Kmart in Charlevoix and Wes Corp in East Jordan. She did many family tax returns as well, as she enjoyed working with numbers.

  She loved bowling, camping, and reading. Marsha was also a great fan of NASCAR and Michigan State University. But above all, she loved her friends and family more than anything in the world.

  Marsha is survived by four children, Dennis (Nikki) Skrocki, Jr., Jennifer Skrocki, Tiffany (Nick) Bourdo and Bryton Burns, all of East Jordan; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; four siblings, Sandy (Jerry) Garland, Brenda (Brett) Bingham, Ed (Linda) Baker and Fred (Charlotte) Simpson, all of East Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Bob Wilson; grandchild, Brooke Skrocki; and two nephews, Jeremy and Nick Bingham.

  Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan. Rev. Bart Adams will officiate with interment following at Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan. A luncheon will follow at the Eagles Club of Boyne City.

  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan.
