Mary Ellen (Boring) Neumann

  Mary Ellen Neumann, 78, died Monday, October 17, 2022, at her home in East Jordan.

  She was born on June 13, 1944, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Orrie and B. Rosetta “Rose” (Bennett) Boring.

  Mary grew up in East Jordan and graduated from East Jordan High School in 1962.  She worked as a bookkeeper most of her life for several different businesses.

  She married Jack Neumann on March 22, 1997, in East Jordan.

  She loved spending time with her family and classmates but especially with her granddaughter. Mary loved helping to organize her class reunions over the years.

  Mary is survived by her husband of 25 years, Jack Neumann of East Jordan; one son, R. Scott Daley of East Jordan; one daughter, Diane (Matt) Walton of East Jordan; and one granddaughter, Drue E. Daley of Ann Arbor.  She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David Boring and Bryan Boring; and one sister, Barbara Cutler-Harchis.

Private services will be held at a future date. 

  Memorial contributions may be directed to donor’s choice.  The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.
