Matthew Brian Sweet

  Matthew Brian Sweet, 33, of East Jordan and formerly of Covington, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020.

  He was born on January 23, 1987, in Irving, Texas, the son of Brian and Michelle (Walden) Sweet.  He graduated East Jordan High School in 2005.

  Matthew had the biggest heart and would help anyone who asked for it. He would go out of his way to make sure you smiled and laughed if you were having a bad day. Matthew had managed several restaurants in the Covington, Kentucky area.  He moved back to East Jordan in October of 2019.

  He is survived by his mother, Michelle (Timothy) Hansma of East Jordan and sister, Stephanie Sweet of Grand Rapids and his Grandma Lorraine Janicki. He was preceded in death by his father, Brian K. Sweet, and his grandparents, William and Marietta Walden.
