Michael George Jones

  Michael George Jones, 73, of East Jordan died on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in Petoskey.

  He was born on February 29, 1952, in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Roger and Marion (Sampley) Jones.  He graduated from Columbia Central High School in Brooklyn, Michigan in 1970.

  On May 24, 1980, he married Rosanna Marie Olund in Boyne City.

  Michael loved golfing, fishing, sports and all his friends.

  He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rosanna Marie Jones of East Jordan; one daughter, Katie Jones of East Jordan; two stepsons, Clarence (Kate) Dumas of Curtis and Michael (Kara) Dumas of Brimley; seven grandchildren, Kim, Tyler, Kelsey, Emmet, Arik, Grace and Khloe; three great-grandchildren, Rylee, Eli and Ayden; one brother, Dennis Jones of New York; one sister, Vicki (Alan) Olson of East Jordan; two brothers-in-law, Ron (Bonnie) Olund and Rick (Betsy) Olund, both of East Jordan;  and one sister-in-law, Ruth (Bob) Kucharek of Elmira.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  No services are scheduled at this time.  The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.
