Michael Jesse Tompkins

Michael Jesse Tompkins, 52, died on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at his home in East Jordan.

  He was born on February 22, 1969, in Traverse City, the son of Michael Bobby Tompkins and Katherine Ruth Moore.

  Michael was a mason by trade and enjoyed all kinds of guns.

  He is survived by his wife, Penny Tompkins of East Jordan; two children, Michael (Jennifer) Tompkins of East Jordan and Danielle (Duane) Skrocki of East Jordan; two step-sons, Joshua Bowling of Gaylord and Jonathon Bowling of Traverse City; two step-daughters, Ashley Bowling of Kalkaska and Randi (Walter) Harrington of Wolverine; ten grandchildren and one sister, Amanda (Paul) Lester of Ellsworth.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 4:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church, 7824 Rogers Rd, East Jordan, MI 49727.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Tompkins family.  The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan.
