Michel “Mike” Jepsen Obituary

Michel “Mike” Arnold Jepsen, 77, of Boyne City passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026.

Born April 17th, 1948, in Petoskey, Michigan to Jerry and Darlene Jepsen. Shortly after, his family relocated to Davison, Michigan where he was raised.

Mike was the eldest of five siblings and attended Davison High before dropping out to join the Army. During his enlistment, he served in Vietnam.

He married Linda Fraelich and they gave birth to their first child, Yvonne, in 1971, while still in Davison. They settled back up north in 1975, before welcomed their second child, Mike, in 1977.

Eventually, Mike and Linda separated. Mike had met and then married Brenda Moore. They spent many years married up to his passing.

During his life, Mike was an avid boat and auto mechanic. Even up to his final years, you would always find him tinkering with his boats, vehicles, or more commonly his campers. He loved camping and taking his boat out fishing. Especially if it was with his family.

Mike is survived by his wife Brenda Jepsen, daughter Yvonne (Keith) Lambert, son Mike, sister Pat Childers, brother Si Jepsen, sister Lori Roy, brother-in-law Mike Reynolds, his grandkids Amanda (Donnie) Towns, Cody (Amber) Lambert, Christiana (Becca) Gutcher, Samantha Peariso, Brianna (AJ) Abrams, Cheyenne Jepsen, Taylor Blain, Alivia Blain, and many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Darlene Jepsen, sister Connie Reynolds, brother-in-law Henry Childers, brother-in-law Randy Roy,

Daughter-in-law Cory Jepsen, and nephew Dustin Studer.

In lieu of flowers, Mike would have been honored if you wish to make a donation in his name to your local VFW or American Legion.
