Michelle Schlueter Obituary

Michelle Dawn Schlueter, 65, died Friday, December 13, 2024, at her home near East Jordan.

  She was born on June 28, 1959, in Lansing, the daughter of Larry Dick and Charlotte Ann (Beebe) Waggoner. She grew up in Boyne City and graduated from Boyne City High School in 1976.

  On July 11, 1982, in Horton Bay, she married Ted Schlueter. She was a stay-at-home mom who home schooled her children.  Michelle enjoyed calligraphy, painting, sewing, cooking, singing and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday School and directing the church’s youth choir.

  Michelle was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church near Petoskey.

  She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ted  Schlueter, Sr. of East Jordan; seven children, Jason (Lisa) Schlueter of Marlette, Jeremy Schlueter of Tacoma, Washington, Ted (Trina) Schlueter of Levering, Jacob (Jamie) Schlueter of Waverly, Ohio, Rebekah (Aaron) Meads of East Jordan, Abraham (Lynn) Schlueter of Elmira, Ethan Schlueter of Bellaire; twenty three grandchildren; step-father, William L. Scott of East Jordan; and two brothers, Jeff Waggoner of Detroit and Chris Waggoner of Boyne City.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. at the Landmark Baptist Church, 1182 Kemp Rd, Petoskey, MI 49770.

  The family will receive friend from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the church.

The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.
