Millie Cooper Peck, 88, of East Jordan, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, in Grand Rapids.
She was born on April 11, 1937, in Ellsworth, Michigan, the daughter of Harry and Persis Mae (Rushton) Cooper.
Millie married James L. Peck on September 2, 1955 in Atwood, Michigan. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2003.
She was a longtime member of the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan. Millie was very involved in her faith.
Millie loved reading, crocheting and sewing. She loved traveling. She loved good conversations over a good cup of tea. Millie was a very kind, uplifting and loving person, who was always a light in a storm for everyone. She will be deeply missed.
Millie is survived by two sons, James T. (Lorraine) Peck of Charlevoix and Ronald L. (Ann) Peck of Elmira; four grandchildren, Michael Peck of North Carolina, Nikki Palmrose of East Jordan, Jessica Peck of East Jordan and Jarad Johnson of East Jordan; five great grandchildren, Taylor Palmrose, Isaiah Palmrose, Parker Palmrose, Morgan Palmrose and Annasophia Johnson; sister, Kaye Arnold of Central Lake; one sister-in-law, Betty Cooper of Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews. Millie was also preceded in death by one brother, Herm Cooper, and one brother-in-law, Bob Arnold.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church, East Jordan. Burial of her cremains will be in Ellsworth Cemetery, Ellsworth, Michigan.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Lighthouse Missionary Church, East Jordan.
