Miranda Anne (McKenzie) Lercel

  Miranda “Mandy” Anne Lercel, 46, of East Jordan, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

  She was born on August 17, 1978, in Charlevoix, the daughter of Michael Allen and Martha Ann (Fisher) McKenzie.

  She grew up in East Jordan and graduated from East Jordan High School in 1996. She married Mark Lercel on August 22, 2015, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Jordan Township.

  Mandy enjoyed diamond art, puzzles, traveling and was a complete “foodie”.

  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan and St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Jordan Township.

  Mandy is survived by her husband, Mark Lercel of East Jordan; two daughters, Elise and Marianne; her mother, Martha Ann McKenzie of East Jordan; her sister, Melissa Vasconcellos of Hawaii; mother-in-law, Lucy Lercel of East Jordan; as well as several nieces and nephews, Keaka, Leiahi, Kamalu, Kawai, Aolani, Jack, James and Sophia.

  She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Allen McKenzie.

  A funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan.  Interment will be held at St. John Nepomucene Pioneer Cemetery in Jordan Township.

  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan with a rosary service at 7:30 P.M.  In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.
