Neil Andrew Olstrom

Neil Andrew Olstrom, 85, came to the end of his earthly journey and entered into his heavenly reward with Jesus on February 1, 2026, surrounded by his family at his home.

Neil was born to Wilmer and Anne (Leu) Olstrom on March 19, 1940 in East Jordan. He graduated in 1958 from East Jordan High School. He married his beloved wife Lynda (Drenth) Olstrom on September 21, 1963. 

After graduation Neil worked as a Supervisor for ApfelConstruction for 32 years before moving on to work as a Project Manager for Andre Poineau for 20 where he built many beautiful homes on Lake Charlevoix and Round Lake before retiring in 2010. 

Neil enjoyed spending time with his family and helping them with their many projects. Most importantly he loved spending time with his grandkids whether that be traveling to see their sporting events, adventures to the Upper Peninsula, or guiding them with his sage advice. 

He was a member at East Jordan Cornerstone church formerly UMC. For many years he served as a trustee for South Arm Township. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Lynda, his three children Mitch (Kim) Olstrom, Stacy (Kimberly) Olstrom, Monica (Tom) Scott. His eight grandchildren, Tanner (Melina), Dillon, Macie (Teddy), Destinne (Chris), Cheyenne (Jacob), Dawson, Devon, and Damon. His four great grand children Lexie, Colton, Hallie, Maya. His siblings Bill (Anne) Olstrom and Susie Vrondran. And numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Savannah, and his sister Louise. His sister-in-laws Gail and Billie. His brother-in-laws Bud and John. 

Neil will be deeply missed, but his legacy and love for his wife, children, and grandchildren will continue to shine through them. 

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 11:00 am at East Jordan Cornerstone Church, a luncheon will follow.
