Nina Marie Symons

Nina M. Symons, 71 of East Jordan, passed away on December 23, 2020 at Munson Charlevoix Area Hospital.

   Nina was born on March 29, 1949, in Wayne County, MI the daughter of Jack and Edith (Koch) Gensman.

   She loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping.  She was a Gladwin resident for many years prior to moving to East Jordan 20 years ago.

   Nina is survived by a son Daniel Symons of East Jordan, 5 grandchildren, Daniel Jr, Patrick II, Skyler, Christopher and William, 3 brothers, Guy Gensman of East Jordan, William (Tammy) Gensman of Gladwin, MI, Fred Gensman of Skidway Lake, MI, 2 sisters, Ruth (Lyle) Hoard of AL, Janet Hamilton of Gladwin, MI and several nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by a son Patrick Symons, a brother Daniel Gensman, sister Jane Nashatka and her parents.

   Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the Penzien Funeral Home in East Jordan.

   Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, December 30 at 12 noon also at the funeral home with Rev. Bart Adams officiating.

   Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery in East Jordan.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

   Arrangements are being handled by the Penzien Funeral Homes, East Jordan.
