Ralph Donald Lemieur

  Ralph Donald Lemieur, 76, of East Jordan, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at the Hiland Cottage in Petoskey.

  He was born on April 1, 1941, in Petoskey, the son of Ralph Albert and Helen Frances (Dashner) Lemieur.  He graduated from Petoskey High School in 1960.

  On August 17, 1984 in Charlevoix, he married Bonnie Hull.

  In Ralph’s working life, he had worked sandblasting under the Mackinac Bridge, at Maple Block in Petoskey, at Curtis Wiring in Petoskey and as a self-employed painter.  Ralph had last worked as a crib attendant at EJ USA, Inc., formerly known as the East Jordan Iron Works, in East Jordan.  He retired in 2007.

  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.  Ralph loved family “get togethers”.

  He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lemieur of East Jordan; six children, Lisa (Michael) Campbell of Massachusetts, Todd, (Bridgette) Lemieur of Alanson, Brad (Kelly) Lemieur of California, Ralph Lemieur, II of East Jordan, Amanda (Kevin) Karlskin of Michigan and Michael Karlskin, Jr. of East Jordan; nine grandchildren, Zane, Nicholas, Jacob, Riley, Chloe, Drew, Jace, Nick, and Zachery; four brothers, Joe (Barb) Lemieur of Petoskey, Denny (Shelly) Lemieur of Arizona, Nick (Deb) Lemieur of Pennsylvania and Gary (M.J.) Lemieur of Petoskey; four sisters, Diana Powers of Petoskey, Millie Henning of Harbor Spring, Helen Kevoian of East Jordan and  Debbie (Randy) Matelski of Boyne Falls; as well as many nieces and nephews.

  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at Harvest Barn Church, 210 S. Lake Street, East Jordan, MI 49727.  Rev. Kimon Criner will officiate.
