Rena F. (Carpenter) Provost

  Rena Fae (Carpenter) Provost, 74, of East Jordan, died Wednesday April 21, 2021, at Medilodge of GTC in Traverse City. She was born September 15, 1946 in Gladwin, Michigan.

  Rena Fae Carpenter married James F. Provost June 6, 1996, in East Jordan, Michigan.  

  Rena was the most amazing, talented, determined woman. She was a Registered traveling Nurse for many years, worked in insurance, went to college and got her associates degree, and she owned Rena’s Tax Service for over 30 years. She loved socializing, playing cards, traveling, reading, and most important she loved her family and friends. Rena was always smiling and helping people out, the kind of woman that lite up a room. She has touched so many hearts and will be deeply missed.

  Rena was survived by her husband, James F. Provost, of East Jordan; daughters, Rebecca Skrobasinski, of East Jordan, Robin (Jeff) Fuller, of Fenton; grandson, Tyler Adams; granddaughters, Alyse and Oliva Fuller; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Penny(Tom)Brown of Harrison, Robert Carpenter of Coleman, Denise Sentz of Clare, Dennis Carpenter of Colorado Springs and Janet (Jim) Roman of Coleman. She will be remembered by her in-laws Pat Provost, Todd Provost, Mary Ann & Kay. Rena was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Clara, and her brother, Butch.

  A special thank you goes to Pat Provost, Scott and Laura Sentz, and Debbie from Comfort Keepers for their love and care of Rena in her last days.

  The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Lighthouse Missionary Church, East Jordan.

  Due to COVID-19, the wearing of masks and social distancing protocols will be strictly observed.  Arrangements were handled by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.
