Rosalie J. (Weisler) Elliott

  Rosalie J. Elliott, 81, formerly of East Jordan and Weidman, died Friday, June 16, 2023, at Boulder Park Terrace in Charlevoix.

  She was born on May 5, 1942, in Torch Lake Township, the daughter of Charles Martin and Henrietta Amelia (Russell) Weisler.

  She graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1960.  On September 2, 1961, in Norwood, Michigan, she married Otis Leland Elliott.

  Rosalie had worked at Gulf & Western, now known as Dura, in East Jordan for 11 years. She retired in 1983.

  She loved anything with arts & crafts.  Rosalie loved crocheting, painting, making knickknacks as well as any other art projects.  She enjoyed spending time with her husband, Otis, making trailers.   Rosalie had been a member of the local Grange.

  She is survived by one daughter, Cindy (Robert) Ballard of East Jordan; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Mason of Maryland, Kelly (Cass) Dolbow of Boyne City and Katelyn (Blake) Higgins of Canada; several great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Weisler of Ellsworth;; one sister, Shirley Magsig of Gaylord; and one sister-in-law, Beverly Weisler of East Jordan.  Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband Otis Leland Elliott on September 4, 2007; granddaughter, Jessica Marie Robtoy on October 10, 2003; and one brother, Martin Weisler.

  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan, MI..  Rev. Bart Adams of the Lighthouse Missionary Church will officiate.  Interment will be in Star Township Cemetery, Alba, MI.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church.  Memorials may be directed to donor’s choice.  The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan, MI.
