Rudolph “Rudy” George Rebec

Rudolph George Rebec, 75, of East Jordan, Michigan passed away on April 13th, 2024 at Villa at Traverse Point with family members present. 

He was born August 7, 1948, in Charlevoix, Michigan. 

Surviving are his daughter Cassie (Kip) McPherson of Kingsley, MI, 4 grandchildren, Harlie, David, Kilee & Gracie; daughter Tammy (Russell) Rondeau of Holland, MI; brother Robert(Sandra) Rebec of Sunfield, MI; sisters Becky Rebec, of Fayetteville, NC, Dianne (Jon)Mussman, of Anderson, SC and Debbie (Steve) Bartlett, of East Jordan, MI; nephews, nieces & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine (Micki) Pickard; daughter, Dawn Rebec; parents George & Marie Rebec and brother David. 

Rudy was a long time resident of East Jordan and enjoyed sitting on a bench outside of Rite Aidtalking to everyone he knew. He enjoyed listening to anything Elvis, country music and watching old westerns. Rudy sometimes gave the impression of being a grumpy old man, until you spoke to him – then you learned of his quick wit and heard his infectious laugh.

Visitation will be at 1:00pm on Friday, April 19th, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, East Jordan, MI., followed by a funeral mass at 2:00pm.
