Viva Marie (Rediess) Sherman

 Viva Marie Sherman, 88, of East Jordan, MI and formerly of Wichita, Kansas, and South Haven, Michigan died Saturday, June 20, 2020.

 She was born in Rawlins, Wyoming on May 4, 1932, the daughter of Emil E. and Marie E. (Paulson) Rediess.

  She married Wayne R. Sherman on October 7, 1960, in Bangor, Michigan. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1991. They raised their family in Wichita, Kansas.  

  Viva loved her Lord, the Bible, her family and friends, and working as a nurse aid. She enjoyed playing musical instruments, fellowship, children, nature, crafts and laughing.

  She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn (Paul) Harthy of East Jordan; two grandsons, Stephen (Jenna) Harthy of Fenton; and David (Kelsi Jackson) Harthy of Grand Rapids; one great grandson, Sullivan Harthy. She was also preceded in death by son, Larry Sherman March 18, 2018; three brothers and two sisters.

  A graveside memorial will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at 2:30 P.M. at Sunset Hill Cemetery in East Jordan.  Arrangements by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.
