Wilfred "Wil" Matuszczak

Wilfred (Wil) A. Matuszczak, 74 of East Jordan entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 26, 2019. He was born on July 20, 1945 in Detroit, MI.

He grew up in Detroit and relocated to Northern Michigan in 1989. He retired from Charlevoix Manufacturing in 2006 and became the sole caregiver to his wife until her death. His family will remember his unique sense of humor and his love of fishing.

Wil is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Matuszczak and his beloved wife, Phyllis.

He is survived by his children, Sherri Clapper, Kim Matelski, Tammy Matuszczak and Jon Matuszczak, 9 grandchildren, Nickole, Nathan, Noah, Neall, Ashleigh, Ben, Hailey, Cameron and Bailey and 3 great grandchildren, Reilly, Anna and Ivy. He is also survived by his sister, Sally (Ed) McKibbon of Cookeville, Tennessee. “He loved her more.”

A private Celebration of Life gathering will be held for immediate family at a later date. Cremation arrangements in care of Penzien Funeral Home, East Jordan.
