William L. “Bill” Tryon, 89, of East Jordan, Michigan, departed from this life on May 6, 2024. Bill spent 30 years with Buick Motor Division in Flint, Michigan.
Bill and Ruth relocated to Boyne City after retirement in 1983, and lived in his grandparents home who raised him since the age of 12 along with his sister, Patricia.
The next move was into the Jordan River Valley on Wildwood Trails for the last 25 years. Bill enjoyed the beauty of the woods, wildlife, mushrooming and hunting.
No one was a stranger to Bill. He loved people, good food, family and happy hour at 4:00 P.M.
Bill leaves behind his high school sweet heart, Ruth Gee, who he met at the Hog Russell Dance in Boyne City in 1950. They had a son, Terry and two daughters, Debra and Rhonda.
Ruth was the pillar of strength to Bill and her rock solid foundation allowed him to live a full life of adventure with family, friends, hunting trips, travel and enjoying grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill’s son, Terry and sister, Patricia preceded him in death.
Cremation arrangements were made through Penzien Funeral Homes, East Jordan.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that those that touched his life through the years, take a moment to reflect on the great time we had together..... Cheers!!
